What Are The Causes of Teeth Whitening Pain?

A very common line that we’ve probably all heard before, goes “No pain, no gain.”

Some people experience little discomfort while some experience the extreme pain especially when having their teeth whiten or bleached.

Since the ambition of having white teeth has every people’s dream ever since. People have also concocted some at home teeth whitening remedies that is considered safe – as long as it is, of course, used properly.

How to deal with Teeth Whitening Pain:

If you are planning to have your teeth whitened or bleached, you should use toothpaste that has high fluoride or mouthwash week prior to your appointment. Fluoride helps in strengthening the outer enamel of our teeth.

When you prefer to use home made remedies, it is advisable to test a small amount first – like whitening gels or bleaching trays – to check for any different reactions. And of course, it is advisable to avoid using excessively and to strictly follow the directions before applying it carefully.

Also, soft-bristled toothbrush is also recommended and using lukewarm water when washing. Food that have extreme temperatures – like ice cream – must be avoided. But if symptoms persist, you can now go and have your dentist check it.

Of course, teeth whitening pain is totally a bad thing because it’s common and probably will go away after a couple of days. The most important thing is – and probably the only one that matters – is that in the end we will have a bright sparkling smile that would make us happier and of will make us feel better.
